Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring accuracy in financial records and timely processing of transactions. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in financial services and a solid understanding of accounting software.

Duties

Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections. Perform data entry tasks, maintaining precise financial records and documentation. Utilise accounting software such as Xero to manage financial transactions. Support month-end closing processes by preparing necessary reports and reconciliations. Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency. Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial transactions and account statuses. Maintain organised filing systems for financial documents to ensure easy retrieval and compliance. Payroll, VAT and CIS. Knowledge of financial legal matters would also be desirable.

Requirements

Previous experience in a similar role within the financial services sector is preferred. Proficiency in accounting software such Xero is essential. Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with colleagues professionally. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Payroll, VAT and CIS.
