We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced accounts assistant / bookkeeperto join oursmall team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with current accounting standards. As a practice, we pride ourselves on being different from your traditional accountants, by offering a friendly, approachable service around the clock. This ethos has enabled our steady growth, ensuring that clients continue to appreciate and recommend us.

We still operate as a relatively small firm with a team that work remotely for large parts. We could have outsourced and grown at a more rapid rate but wished instead to concentrate on delivering a personal service to our clients.

This role would be a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced accounts assistant/bookkeeper to grow with the practice, whilst having the flexibility to fit around their day to day life.We are looking for someone to use their experience gained in order to hit the ground running, who will be happy to pitch in with all elements of the workload. Ideally the individual would be like minded, approachable and well organised, we are looking for someone who is confident in their own abilities and who takes pride in their work and the business they represent.

Responsibilities:



Maintenance of the bookkeeping software for a varied portfolio of clients The preparation of quarterly VAT Returns. Assistance with Year End Accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies Preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Returns

Desired Skills:



Proven experience as a bookkeeper or an accounts assistant, preferably in a similar role A solid working knowledge range of multiple accounting software's- such as XERO, Freeagent, Brightpay, Iris and Excel. A strong understanding of accounting principles Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to work independently and the flexibility to meet deadlines Professional and clear communication skills, both written and verbal A proactive and problem-solving mindset
