We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to support our accounting department with administrative tasks and daily accounting activities.
About The Role
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
1) Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of purchase ledger records, including processing invoices, matching PO's, coding and problem solving
2) Bank postings on accounts software
3) Supplier aging maintenance and statement reconciliation
4) Government statistical reporting including Intrastat arrivals and dispatches, EC sales and other ad hoc statistical returns
5) Support the management accountant with month end reporting requirements
6) Management of petty cash
7) Maintain accurate accounting records, including preparation and posting of journals to General Ledger
8) Provide accounting support to Credit Control/Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable departments.
9) Ensure that internal procedures and controls are consistently applied.
10) Maintain confidentiality of company information.
11) Any other duties and tasks commensurate with the role and/or as required by the Manager within your capabilities.

Required Criteria
5 GCSE's at Grade C or above including English and Maths
Minimum of one years' finance experience
Previous experience of computerised accounts
Proficient in MS Office with experience of IT Systems
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Works well on own initiative and as part of a team in a highly challenging and demanding work environment
Can travel to and from work areas as and when required
Flexibility to work overtime as and when required
Good time keeper
Desired Criteria
Third Level Qualification and/or studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification.
Knowledgeable with Financial Accounting principles
Experience of MS Dynamics AX, Power BI
Skills Needed
Bank reconciliation, Ability to Identify and Anticipate needs, Microsoft Office Suite
