We're looking for a proactive and detail-focused
Accounts Assistant
to join our growing team at
Champain Group
, based in
Halesworth, Suffolk
. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across two creative and expanding businesses:
Champain Landscapes
, specialists in high-end garden design and landscaping, and
Brampton Willows
, an established natural fencing company now branching into garden products and furniture.
Working from our shared office, you'll support the financial operations of both businesses in a varied and rewarding role. As a team that executes varied and often large projects, along with exhibits at prestigious events including the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, we offer a fast-paced, exciting working environment for someone who thrives on variety and is passionate about making a difference behind the scenes.
Working under our experienced Accounts Manager you will benefit from in-house training where required and we are also open to supplementary personal development opportunities such as the AAT scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-day bookkeeping for both businesses
Managing accounts payable and receivable
Bank reconciliations and supporting cash flow management
Preparing financial reports and assisting with month-end processes
Liaising with suppliers, clients, and external accountants
Supporting general office administration tasks
What We're Looking For:
Experience in bookkeeping or a similar finance based role
Comfortable using accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to support the wider team in a very busy working environment
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Working Hours & Flexibility:
This role is
30 hours per week
, with working hours and patterns
flexible to accommodate family commitments or other responsibilities
. We're open to discussing a schedule that works for the right candidate.
Pay is negotiable dependent on experience.
