Sewell Wallis is working with a renowned business based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.
This position has arisen due to the business going through a period of growth.
Working alongside an experienced finance team, this Accounts Assistant role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to the month-end process, making it a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to start their ACCA or CIMA studies.
What will you be doing?

• Working closely with the Finance Team to ensure costs are recorded accurately in the management accounts.
• Allocating supplier invoices to the correct customer contracts.
• Handling month-end tasks, including accruals and prepayments.
• Keeping balance sheet reconciliations up to date and accurate.
• Collaborating with teams across the business to build strong internal relationships.

What skills are we looking for?

• Previous experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Capable of meeting tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• A proactive mindset and effective problem-solving abilities.
