Accounts Assistant



We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join our friendly team at our head office in Holmewood, Chesterfield. This is a full time permanent role.

The role will involve supporting the finance department with the day-to-day accounting functions, as well as office administration in a fast-paced finance department.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and self-motivated, with a flexible attitude and the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Someone who can contribute to a positive workplace culture and grow with us, you will become an integral part of our business.

You should have good communication and organisation skills and be capable or multi-tasking whilst maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Maintain sales ledger and accounts receivable

Monitoring credit scores

Maintain purchase ledger and reconciling statements for payment

Raise invoice queries and chase credit notes

Intercompany recharges

Manage Company utilities across all sites

Assisting with payroll and recording of hours

Assisting with customer invoicing

Incoming and outgoing mail

Answering telephones and emails

Taking care of administration tasks, such as correspondence, filing and printing

This is a office based role, working Monday to Friday.

Competitive salary between 25,500 - 30,000 depending on experience.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following experience and expertise:

5 GCSE's A-C grade including Maths and English

Good IT skills including Excel, Word and Outlook

Experience in an accounts department

Experience of

Sage 50 is essential

, experience of Xero would be preferred

Good communication skills

Strong administrations skills

Ability to work independently
