About us

We are a successful firm of Chartered accountants based in Kendal and Kirkby Stephen, delivering services across the range of year end accounts, tax and wider associated general practice services provision alongside offering wide ranging advice and tax planning services to our clients.

Our firm is seeking a Accounts Assistant to join our company, preferably someone with experience in working in practice but this is not required. Anyone already training at some level of AAT will be given preference. We are looking for an individual who has strong numeracy, organisation skills and excellent attention to detail. As an Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for bookkeeping, VAT and the preparation of year end accounts for wide ranging and varied sole trader, partnership and limited company clients. You will be trained to prepare personal and corporate tax returns and small payrolls as required. Your responsibilities and involvement with clients, wider accounting and tax project work will increase over time as you develop within the team and role and you will be encouraged to progress and develop within your career, with the support of highly experienced, qualified professionals around you, combined with study support on offer for those looking to pursue further qualifications. We provide support for individuals wishing to continue with training in AAT, ATT and ACA.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 23,000.00-35,000.00 per year
