We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organised and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team at Cottage Delight.
About the Role
To take responsibility for the purchase ledger of the business and to provide support and assistance to other members of the Finance Department. To take a business partner approach, in order to ensure appropriate relationships are maintained to support day-to-day control of company purchasing.
Your responsibilities:
Responsible for the maintenance and administration of the purchase ledger.
To coordinate purchase ledger processes, ensuring budget holder sign off and the posting of purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner and dealing with any invoice queries and ensuring all invoices are filed correctly.
To assist the Financial Controller to ascertain amounts to pay and then process the BACS payment runs, and Trade Pay payment runs.
To reconcile Supplier Statements and to deal with queries in a timely manner.
To participate in regular Aged Creditor reviews, with the Financial Controller.
Full responsibility of Credit Card expenses, including processing of journals
Oversee and process expenses prior to sign off for the Financial Controller.
Carry out Due Diligence with all new suppliers.
To undertake and assist with any other finance or administrative duties as and when required.
Your Skills and experience:
Previous experience in purchase ledger management or finance administration.
Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for accuracy and efficiency.
Ability to work collaboratively with different departments and external suppliers.
Proactive approach to improving financial processes and identifying efficiencies.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
A good working knowledge of excel.
Familiarity with
EFACS
or similar financial software is desirable.
