The role:

The Finance Assistant role sits within the finance team supporting the finance manager and wider engineering business to provide control, reporting and analysis in an efficient and timely manner as the business continues to grow. The business is an industry leading company delivering top quality structural, mechanical and electrical projects for blue-chip manufacturers in a range of industries. Duties and responsibilities will include:

processing supplier invoices liaising with the purchasing team to resolve supplier queries reconcile supplier statements as well as managing supplier payments support the purchasing team in the creation and approval of new suppliers support the wider finance team in reporting, sales and nominal ledger activities manage the finance function inbox answer and deal with any incoming calls ad-hoc duties as required
The ideal candidate for the role will have:

Experience working to Trial Balance stage Experience of VAT and CIS would be advantageous ERP system experience preferably in Sage 200 and/or Sicon Solutions Knowledge of Microsoft systems including 365, word & excel Proactive approach with the ability to multi-task and work in a team as well as individually. Keen eye for detail and ability to identify improvements would be advantageous.

Job Types: Permanent, Part-time approx 20-24 hours per week

Experience: Accounting: 3 years (preferred)

Work authorisation: United Kingdom (required)

Pay: 28,000.00-31,000.00 Full Time Equivalent per year
