Key Purpose of the Role


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger Clerk to ensure that the purchase ledgers for SML, SMUK, and MLX are accurately maintained. The successful candidate will also play a key role in providing input to the company's daily cash forecasting.

Key Responsibilities



Enter all supplier invoices daily into EFACS for SML, SMUK, and MLX.

Reconcile supplier statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Manage supplier account queries, including payment issues, unapproved invoices, and overdue invoices across all three companies.

Raise payments through online banking in a timely and accurate manner.

Create new supplier accounts as required, subject to approval by the Financial Controller.

Provide daily input into the Summit Medical cash flow forecast.

Reconcile company credit cards and ensure accurate records.

Administer and process staff expenses, including payments.

Support completion of National Statistics returns (as cover when needed).

Assist the Financial Controller and Management Accountant with ad hoc tasks and projects.

Qualifications & Experience



Previous experience in accounts payable or purchase ledger is preferable.

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Good communication skills for dealing with internal teams and external suppliers.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Experience with EFACS or similar systems would be an advantage (training can be provided).
