Job Description

Cooks Blinds & Shutters Ltd are a successful family-owned Company, who are looking for a new member to join our team. The Accounts Assistant role covers the Receivables functions being responsible for processing the invoices in an accurate and timely manner. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key responsibilities



Processing customer invoices and sending via email/post or portals.

Uploading these invoices onto the general ledger (Sage) and data back-ups.

Allocating bank & card payments as well as taking payments over the phone.

Dealing with invoice queries with the help of the other departments.

Filing of information and reception cover when needed.

Raising Pro-forma invoices.

Sending out customer statements.

Review and comply with internal controls, financial policies and procedures.

Other Duties



Control of company petty cash.

Reconciliation and posting of credit card statements.

Collection of retention monies owed.

Raising private mileage invoices.

Assist with special projects as required.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Experience/Skills/Competences:



Accounts experience desirable but not necessary.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Experience with accounting software desirable (e.g. Sage 50).

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Confident & polite telephone manner.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.

Strong ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Job Status: Full Time 5 days, Permanent secure position.

Hours: Monday to Friday 0800 to 1700.

Entitlements: 21 days holiday plus bank holidays. Pension.

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience

Salary: 12-13.00 per hour 25k-27k.

Additional pay: Bonus scheme.

Ability to commute/relocate: Norwich, NR3 2BS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 25,000.00-27,000.00 per year
