:Robert Half is recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a international business based in South Birmingham.Job Opportunity: Part-Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant (AAT, CIMA, ACCA)We are seeking a part-qualified accountant (AAT, CIMA, or ACCA) - or a candidate who is qualified by experience - with strong attention to detail, solid problem-solving skills, and broad experience across various accounting functions. This is a varied and hands-on role supporting both UK and US operations.Key Responsibilities:Perform bank reconciliations for GBP, USD, and EUR accountsProcess sales and purchase invoices/credit notesPost cash receipts and payments to the appropriate ledgersManage credit control, including issuing debtor statements and following up on overdue accountsProduce regular cash flow reportsDemonstrate working knowledge of payroll and PAYEPost journals and complete nominal ledger reconciliationsAssist with weekly and monthly purchase ledger payments and reconcile supplier statementsApply job costing methods and help identify losses on individual jobsPrepare quarterly VAT returns and ensure VAT complianceSupport month-end and year-end audit processesUse financial software proficiently (e.g. Sage Line 50, QuickBooks, Excel); strong Microsoft Office skills are essentialProduce and interpret management accountsComplete balance sheet reconciliationsHandle ad hoc accounting tasks as requiredAdditional Information:This role requires communication with external accountants in both the UK and USWorkload is expected to be divided roughly 50/50 between UK and US responsibilitiesBenefits:
