We are seeking a Part-time, proactive Accounts Assistant. This is a varied 'hands-on' role in our small Finance team and ideal for an individual with a keen eye for detail, good a problem solving and a very good understanding of double entry accounting.
Duties
Process authorised supplier invoices and credit notes on purchase ledger, attaching digital copies to all postings; reviewing and following up outstanding supplier queries to ensure problems are resolved swiftly
Processing customer refunds, investigating and resolving customer queries
Bank reconciliations; investigating and resolving queries with transactions that have not cleared the account
Support month-end closing, including reconciliations and reporting.
Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
Provide administrative support to the finance team as required.
Qualifications
Previous experience in an accounts assistant role or similar position within the financial services sector is preferred. Strong technical knowledge and willingness to learn if lacking experiance.
Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
A good understanding of accounting principles and practices is required; preferably AAT qualified or AAT studier.
