Job Description

Due to continued growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join Frylite Limited, a market leader in fresh oil sales and distribution in the island of Ireland.

This role represents a unique opportunity for an account assistant to join a dynamic and busy accounts department to support and grow the business via the finance department. This role will provide the successful candidate the environment, skills and mentorship to gain the necessary financial reporting, commercial and operational experience that will enable future career progression.

Frylite is widely considered to be an industry success story, having commenced business over 35 years ago. Now in 2025, Frylite is an IBEC Keep Well Accredited Company operating with over 260 employees and currently servicing over 8,500 customers daily via its multi-depot site network. In addition to its fresh oil sales and distribution, Frylite is a company synonymous with sustainability as it plays a major role in supplying processed Used Cooking Oil to the Biofuel sector in the UK. Sustainability continues to be at the forefront of Frylite strategy.

The successful candidate will be keen to learn, grow and develop with the business and will be provided the necessary support and mentorship to be successful within the business.

Please note this role offers an Apprenticeship opportunity to work through the Accounts Technician pathway and you will be offered suitable support to be successful with this qualification and within the business, if successful.

Key Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Depot Administration Duties as follows; Sales Administration; Sales Invoicing & Reconciliation (Daily), Query Resolution (Credit Notes), Rebate Calculation & Processing. Includes Fresh Oil & Used Cooking Oil sales and stock related administration. Cash Administration; Cash Counting & Reconciliation (Daily), Lodgement Preparation & Banking, Receipt of Cash In-Flows (Cheques/Cash). Preparation of rebates for drivers daily. Credit Control Administration; Contacting customers where appropriate, cash collection follow up where required. Stock Administration; Support coordination of stock receipting and associated movement for the depot. Stock reconciliation support when required. Finance Department support to cover off weekly financial reporting requirements. General Depot Support & Query Resolution; Filing, responding to queries from both internal and external stakeholders, supporting the depot where required. Monitoring of depot inboxes to cover off sales/stock/purchase related queries. Support with the creation of a strong internal controls environment by ensuring company processes are followed. Support in the input and approval process of bank payments for the business. This will involve interaction with the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments. Involvement in a wide range of ad hoc tasks across various departments to ensure success for the finance department to meet its objectives.

Essential Criteria:

The successful applicant will:

Desirable Criteria:

Part Qualified (BSc, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Experience using Sage Line 50
