We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in managing accounts payable and other financial tasks. Responsibilities
Assist in processing accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure all invoices are properly documented.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Support month-end closing processes by preparing necessary reports and documentation.
Utilise our accounting software Xero to manage financial data effectively.
Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Provide general administrative support to company as required.
Qualifications
Previous experience in an accounts payable or similar role is essential
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero, or Sage, is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
A basic understanding of accounting principles will be essential.
Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
