Visual Comfort Europe are the premium resource for signature designer lighting. We manufacture and distribute lighting with some of the most influential names in design to the world's best interior designers.

We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join us on a temporary contract to help support the day-to-day function of the financial operation. There is the possibility of the contract being made permanent for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, adaptability to adjust to the changing needs of the business, as well as sound knowledge of credit control, accounts payable and receivable, as well as other financial processing within a business.

Job description:

Recording bank receipts and payments into cashbook and system Reconciling bank accounts and revaluing international accounts at month ends Preparing and processing regular payment runs for the company. Processing sales and purchase invoices Maintaining clean sales and purchase ledgers Credit control by telephone and email Reconciling supplier and customer accounts and correcting discrepancies where necessary Monitoring and responding to stakeholder queries Support the team with some month end tasks Collect, enter and analyse data for some financial spreadsheets/reports. Reconcile any discrepancies or errors collaboratively with employees, customers and suppliers Answer questions and provide assistance to internal and external stakeholders as needed. Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions. Providing administrative and ad-hoc support and project work as needed.

Requirements:

Have at least one year of accounting industry experience within an SME's finance team Ideally be financially qualified Be IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g. pivot tables, Vlookups). Excellent interpersonal skills both verbal and written. Strong attention to detail with a progressive attitude and approach. Be adaptable and support improvement. Be able to work without supervision, and flexible in a busy environment, working to tight deadlines.

Pay: 26,500.00-28,000.00 per year
