Read Motor Group are an established and trusted family-run dealership group across Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Derbyshire and Yorkshire.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the centralised accounts team at our offices in Grimsby.
As an Accounts Assistant, you will work within a centralised accounts team reporting directly to the onsite Accountant. You will ensure that all invoices and reports are produced in an accurate and timely manner.
You will be confident, ideally with an accounts/ administration background. Experience within the motor industry would be beneficial although this is not essential as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities include:
To work with colleagues to provide excellent customer service
To ensure the efficient administration of clerical and reporting procedures throughout the department
To complete the cashing up and banking on a daily basis
To maintain a simple and systematic filing system
Administration of the debt collection period within specified day's credit
Ensure that all documentation is processed quickly and accurately and stored safely and to preserve confidentiality.
To ensure that accurate records are kept and updated daily.
Any additional duties as required
You will be especially competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, we are also looking for the successful candidate to have the following experience:
Purchase Ledger
Sales Ledger
Credit Control
Cash Book Posting
Hours of work are 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday with an hour lunch break
