To take the next step in our growth journey, we are currently looking for an experienced practice accountant to join our team at Dovetail Bookkeeping & Accountancy Services. We have been growing steadily for the last 13 years and are now looking forward to the next exciting phase of our expansion.

We are a small, friendly and supportive team and finding the right person to fit in is of paramount importance. A 'can-do' attitude is vital. We offer a range of accountancy services with clients in a wide variety of industries and businesses, so the role will be varied in nature. We have a relaxed dress code and can offer flexibility to the right candidate.

The role:

Bookkeeping for clients using a variety of software packages;

Preparation of year-end accounts for sole-traders and limited companies to review stage;

Preparation of personal and Corporation Tax Returns and associated calculations;

Preparation of VAT Returns;

Responding to client queries.

For the right candidate, the opportunity to manage a portfolio of clients.

The ideal candidate:

Will be AAT or ACCA qualified or part qualified;

Have experience of working in a busy accounts practice including the areas required for the role;

Will be personable and able to build relations with clients;

Good technical knowledge;

Has a 'can-do' attitude;

Well organised with the ability to work under pressure;

Excellent communication skills.

The hours are flexible based on our belief that family comes first and we would consider a full-time or part-time appointment and work from home options.

Salary will be competitive and based on experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 24,000.00-30,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 10 - 37.5 per week
