What you'll be doing

  • Lead and manage multiple audit assignments from planning through to completion across a varied portfolio.
  • Supervise and mentor audit and accounts staff, ensuring high standards and strong technical output.
  • Review working papers, financial statements, and audit documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor workloads and run regular team update meetings, reporting directly to senior leadership.
  • Maintain and build strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for audit and accounting matters.
  • Monitor audit budgets, reporting variances and communicating audit findings and making recommendations.
Requirements
About you
  • ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong background in audit and accountancy within practice.
  • Proven experience in leading audits and managing teams in a client-facing role.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of UK accounting standards (FRS 102, UK GAAP).
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and confident in managing deadlines and team priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
  • Full UK driving licence for occasional travel as required
