Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Accounts and Finance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating our Group Finance Function across 4 entities.

UDS Freight is part of the UDS Group of companies. Within the Group, there are 3 other businesses, UDS Clearances, UDS PalletFast and UDS Warehousing. Across the Group, our aim is to provide our customers with a complete end-to-end logistics solution.

A key part of the overall Group is our Finance function. We're seeking a driven, motivated and experienced person to handle a wide range of aspects within our Finance/Accounts function.

We're a growing family run business so this opportunity is good for someone who wants to grow with a business and become a key part of the Group Management team. As we are a growing business, the key functions are someone who is willing to 'roll up the sleeves' and do the smaller tasks but have the mindset and capability to also help on the strategic direction of each group business as we grow into new markets.

Duties expected to be completed are:

Manage the AR Process- compile AR reports and take control of credit with customers Manage the AP Process - compile AP reports and take control of payments to creditors Process all payments on behalf of each group business on online banking platform Manually input other supplier invoices into Accounts Software- Xero Reconcile Bank Transactions on Accounts Software Prepare VAT returns for submission Run payroll with data provided by each head of business units Prepare and submit P32 submissions as part of payroll function Prepare monthly P&L for each group business Cash Flow Forecasting Manage Intercompany accounts and transactions between Group businesses Be aware of currency fluctuations and appropriately handle currencies in various accounts

Experience

Strong knowledge of financial management principles, including financial planning and accounting practices. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple different teams. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail in managing financial data.
