Accounts Manager / Office Administrator



Overview


We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounts Manager / Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess strong accounting skills and be proficient in Xero accounting software. Other tasks will include liaising with internal and external stakeholders, booking UK and International accommodation and flights, as well as keeping all administration records up to date. You'd be working with a small team, so the ability to work cooperatively with others is essential.

Responsibilities



Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Managing the accounts functions for our UK and USA business Raise customer invoices and liaise with external accounts departments Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements Assist external accountants with month-end closing procedures Utilise Xero accounting software to manage financial data efficiently Collaborate with other team members to support budgeting and forecasting Managing accounts payable invoices, raising POs and making payments to suppliers Making weekly payments to subcontractors and monthly payroll payments Generate and submit quarterly VAT returns Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards

Requirements



Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes Proficiency in Xero accounting software Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively Strong communication skills, both written and verbal A relevant qualification in finance or accounting is preferred but not essential Previous experience of Simpro or other job management software preferable Experience of managing accounts in other currencies an advantage Full driving licence due to location
