The Role
As an Accounts Manager, youll be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients, primarily from the local area and representing a variety of sectors. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and finalising year-end accounts, delivering insightful financial advice, and supporting clients with effective planning and decision-making.
Youll be a key point of contact for your clients, building trusted, long-term relationships and identifying opportunities to add value. Youll also support junior members of the team, offering guidance, review, and mentorship to help develop their skills and maintain high standards of service.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking ownership and delivering results, while contributing to the overall success of a dynamic and growing firm. Youll work closely with partners and senior colleagues, benefiting from an open, inclusive leadership style that encourages fresh thinking and collaboration.
About You
To be successful in this Accounts Manager position, youll need to be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA) with at least 34 years of previous experience in practice. You will have the ability to manage a varied workload with minimal supervision, demonstrate sound technical expertise, and show a proactive approach to client service.

Confident in managing client relationships and liaising face-to-face
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Skilled in reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing constructive feedback
Knowledgeable about cloud-based accounting platforms such as Xero or QuickBooks
Commercially aware, with the ability to spot opportunities for added value
Energetic and adaptable someone who can hit the ground running
