Honest Love Our Planet is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Account Manager to join its finance and commercial team. The role is responsible for managing customer accounts, maintaining accurate financial and sales records, and supporting strong, long-term client relationships.
The successful candidate will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure accurate processing of orders, payments, and account information. This role requires experience with accounting software, customer account management, and coordination across finance, sales, operations, and marketing functions.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccount & Customer Management
Manage and maintain a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring records are accurate, current, and well documented.
Maintain regular contact with existing customers via email and telephone to manage enquiries, orders, and ongoing account requirements throughout the year.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key and high-profile customer accounts.
Respond to customer queries related to orders, invoices, and account balances, providing a high standard of customer service.
Financial & Accounting Responsibilities
Accurately record all financial transactions related to customer accounts.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, payments, and collections.
Use accounting software such as
Xero
(and where required, QuickBooks or Sage) to maintain financial records and generate reports.
Reconcile bank statements and resolve account discrepancies promptly.
Prepare financial and sales reports for management review, highlighting key figures and variances.
Support the finance team during audits by providing required documentation and reports.
Order & Marketplace Management
Manage and process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely coordination with internal teams.
Oversee and manage online marketplace accounts including
Faire, Ankorstore, Etsy
, and other relevant platforms.
Monitor marketplace orders, pricing, and customer communications to ensure smooth fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
Internal Coordination & Process Improvement
Coordinate with operations, sales, marketing, and fulfilment teams to ensure seamless order processing and delivery.
Maintain accurate customer, sales, and order records using CRM systems.
Assist in improving and optimising accounting and account-management processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Communicate customer feedback and account insights internally to support business performance.
Travel & Communication
Travel within the UK to meet customers when required to support account management and relationship building.
Maintain professional and effective communication with customers and stakeholders via email, telephone, and in-person meetings.
Skills and ExperienceEssential
Proven experience in account management, bookkeeping, or a similar role within a professional environment.
Strong working knowledge of accounting software, particularly
Xero
(experience with QuickBooks or Sage also acceptable).
Good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reconciliation processes.
Experience maintaining customer and sales records using CRM systems.
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
Confident written and spoken English, with a customer-focused communication style.
Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
Desirable
Experience managing online marketplace accounts such as Faire, Ankorstore, Etsy, or similar platforms.
Experience working in a commercial, wholesale, retail, or e-commerce environment.
Understanding of order fulfilment and supply chain processes.
