The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, compliance with tax and financial regulations, and providing financial insight to support strategic decision-making. This role combines hands-on bookkeeping with higher-level financial management in a small business environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with employment tax regulations.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors.
Maintain accounting systems and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Support financial planning, pricing, and cost analysis efforts.
Provide financial reports and insights to management to inform business decisions.
