Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Manager to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support the Finance Director and play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation by managing various accounting tasks. This position requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of accounts, with a focus on accounts payable. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Overseeing accounting functions for the Southern Structures group of companies. Management of accounts payable, including processing invoices and payments. Raising price/Qty discrepancies Liaising directly with suppliers Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely data entry into accounting software. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies as necessary. Bank & Credit card reconciliations Managing of weekly subcontractors pay run Processing weekly payroll Managing agency staff hours/costs Monthly cost reporting/analysis Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting procedures and improve efficiency. Assist in preparing financial reports for management review.

Experience

You will ideally be AAT qualified or similar. Proficiency in excel and accounting software is essential, experience of Xero is advantageous. At least 2 years previous experience in similar role. Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for effective collaboration.

Pay: 35,000.00-37,000.00 per year
