About the Role

We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented

Accounts Manager

to oversee the financial operations of our busy estate agency. This role is central to ensuring accurate client accounting, compliance, and smooth day-to-day financial management across sales and lettings.

Key Responsibilities

Managing

client accounts

in line with estate agency regulations Handling

rent receipts, landlord payments, deposits, and reconciliations

Preparing and processing

monthly and ad-hoc financial reports

Ensuring compliance with

Client Money Protection (CMP)

requirements Managing

invoices, supplier payments, and fee statements

Liaising with landlords, tenants, and internal teams regarding accounts queries Supporting year-end accounts and working with external accountants Maintaining accurate records using property accounting software

Key Requirements

Proven experience in an

accounts role

, ideally within an

estate or lettings agency

Strong understanding of

client accounting and reconciliation

High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills Confident using accounting and property management software Ability to work independently and manage deadlines Professional communication skills with clients and colleagues

Desirable (but not essential)

Experience with lettings legislation and compliance Familiarity with software such as

Xero, Sage, Reapit, Jupix, or similar

AAT qualification or equivalent experience
