Butler Rose Public Practice are currently recruiting for an Accounts Manager on behalf of a highly respected Top 40 accountancy practice with a strong national footprint. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join a forward-thinking firm and contribute to the delivery of high-quality client services.
The Opportunity -
Based at the firm's modern offices on the outskirts of Luton/Hitchin with free parking and excellent onsite amenities, the Accounts Manager will take ownership of a diverse client portfolio, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and the delivery of timely, accurate financial reporting. The role also involves leading a team of professionals, managing workflow effectively, and supporting the continued growth and development of junior staff.
Key Requirements -
Management of a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring year-end financial statements and corporation tax returns are completed accurately and on time.
Develop and maintain client relationships and professionally represent the firm at client meetings.
Prepare and review year-end statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, charities, and limited companies in accordance with FRS102-1A and FRS105.
Where applicable, support on audit assignments from the initial planning phase through to partner review.
Compile schedules for complex VAT and tax returns, while assisting with tax advisory matters
Oversee the team's workflow, allocate assignments accordingly, and monitor performance against agreed targets.
Review work produced by junior staff members and provide feedback and guidance.
Person Requirements -
ACA or ACCA qualified with 4+ years' experience in practice working for a small to medium sized regional firm, and in the capacity of Senior Accountant with supervisory responsibility or manager.
Ideally, you will have gained exposure across the main service lines of accounts, audit and tax as well as proven staff supervision/management responsibilities.
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
