Overview



We are seeking an experienced

Accounts Manager

to join our bookkeeping and accounting services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing bookkeeping operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the delivery of exceptional client service.

As the key point of contact for a portfolio of clients, you will coordinate internal bookkeeping teams, provide financial insights, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities



1. Serve as the

primary contact

for assigned client accounts, managing day-to-day communication and service delivery.

2.

Oversee bookkeeping operations

, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, VAT returns, payroll coordination, and management reporting.

3. Ensure timely and accurate

monthly and year-end financial reporting

.

4. Develop and maintain

strong, long-term relationships

with clients, acting as a trusted financial advisor.

5. Work closely with internal bookkeeping and accounting teams to ensure smooth workflow and client satisfaction.

6. Identify opportunities for

process improvements

and

additional service offerings

(e.g., payroll, tax, or advisory services).

7. Prepare and present

financial summaries, management accounts, and performance reports

to clients.

8. Ensure compliance with relevant

HMRC regulations, accounting standards, and firm policies

.

9. Handle client queries, resolve issues promptly, and support escalations where necessary.

10. Support business development by helping to onboard new clients and optimize existing relationships.

Requirements and Skills



Proven experience as an

Accounts Manager, Bookkeeping Manager

, or in a client-facing accounting role. Solid understanding of

bookkeeping principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting

. Experience with

cloud-based accounting systems

(e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar). Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for managing client relationships at all levels. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously. Experience delivering

client-focused financial solutions

and managing deadlines. Proficiency in

Microsoft Excel

and general accounting software. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 37,000.00-47,000.00 per year
