CaterFix ltd has been operating in the Peterborough region for 25 years. The company offers a range of services including repair and maintenance of commercial kitchen products. The sale of catering equipment to the hospitality and public sector ad the design and supply of full turnkey kitchens.

A family based local company we are looking for a full-time, long-term candidate to join us to primarily manage the accounts and some office management.

Roles and Responsibilities


Accounting Duties:



- Sales Ledger (From Invoice creation to cash allocation)

- Purchase Ledger (From Invoice entry to sending remittances and making payments)

- Credit Control (Issuing statements, contacting customers by phone & email to obtain payments in line with agreed credit terms)

- Weekly Banking of customer cheques & cash received

- Taking payments via credit card & reconciling to the ledger

- Bank Reconciliations, Credit Card & Petty Cash Reconciliations

- Payroll (Processing monthly payroll, Pensions and filing returns to HMRC)

- VAT Returns

- Managing monthly rental schedule & invoices

- Weekly sales reporting - weekly position.

- Ad-hoc reporting (Quarterly & Yearly)

- Submitting monthly submissions of purchases to Cedabond purchasing group

- Assisting the External Accountant with any queries that arise

- Handles any other accounts related subjects

Office Management Duties:



- Covering of the reception/service desk (Assisting with enquiries & Service calls)
- Ensuring the smooth running of the office operations
- HR (Recording Holidays & Absences, Starters & Leavers, ad-hoc HR duties)
- Annual Review of Supplier contracts & Handling Renewals (Insurances/Telecoms/IT etc)
- Liaising with external consultants (Health & Safety/Fire contractor)
- Purchasing of all office supplies (including stationery/consumable products)
- Continuous improvements to achieve cost savings

- All aspects of Health and Safety (supported by external Consultant)

Current experience with the below packages would be an advantage



Xero (For Accounts & Payroll)

Microsoft Office Packages

Clik Service Software

About you



We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, who can work individually and as part of a team. As we are a small business we are looking for someone who will fit in and work well with everyone.

We are open to discuss hours, and salary based on experience

Peterborough office based

Reporting directly to the owner
