We are a small Powder Coating Business based in Dunmow, Essex seeking a experienced Account Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of accounts using Quickbooks accounting software. .
Responsibilities
Process sales, purchases, receipts and payments and manage and maintain accurately using Quickbooks.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is correctly recorded
Assist with month-end Payroll.
Prepare financial reports and statements for management review end of month/year.
Support accountant needs by providing necessary documentation and explanations
Collaborate with Sales Director to ensure smooth running of business
Maintain organised filing systems for all financial documents and records
Requirements
Proven experience as an Account Officer or similar role within an accounting environment
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks is essential
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial reconciliation
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
