Role Overview
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator to join our small, friendly finance team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract for 13 months. The role will support the Finance team in delivering accurate, timely, and efficient financial processing.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end Accounts Payable function - from invoice receipt and system entry through to payment and settlement - ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time, while maintaining compliance with company controls and procedures.
As part of a small team, other administrative tasks will form a secondary part of the role.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Accounts Payable
Accurately process supplier invoices into Yardi Voyager and ensure appropriate coding and approvals.
Maintain supplier records and deal with supplier queries in a professional manner.
Prepare and process payment runs, including BACS payments, in line with agreed schedules, working closely with the Financial Controller.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor outstanding invoices, credits, and aged payables reports.
Recharge invoices to client landlords
Assist with month-end close processes and provide supporting information to the Financial Controller and Finance Director.
Support the wider team with ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks as required.
Administration Support
As necessary, greet visitors and answer incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner.
Handle incoming mail.
Other various tasks as they arise.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or finance administration role.
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office packages.
Experience using Yardi Voyager (or other property/finance systems) is desirable, though training can be provided.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
