Are you organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about making a difference? bpha is seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance team, supporting back-office service delivery and ensuring our financial operations, in respect of Accounts Payable run smoothly.
About the Role
As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of the purchase ledger for bpha and its subsidiaries. You'll ensure invoices are paid accurately and on time, complete bank account reconciliations, and process regular payment runs. You'll also maintain accurate creditor bank account information, complete monthly reconciliations, and handle urgent payments efficiently.
As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will be:
Processing purchase ledger transactions and maintaining accurate records
Completing bank account reconciliations
Managing payment runs and ensuring compliance with financial procedures
Reviewing and processing utility bills for void properties and communal supplies
Resolving queries from internal and external customers/suppliers
Complying with processes and controls, escalating issues as needed
What we're looking for as an Accounts Payable Assistant:
Essential Skills & Attributes:
Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
Intermediate Microsoft Office (including Excel) skills
Meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Organised, able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
Flexible, adaptable, and able to maintain confidentiality
Experience:
Previous experience in Accounts Payable
Experience using Office (including excel) and financial accounting systems
Background in a customer-focused environment
Excellent communication skills
