Accounts Payable Clerk

to join our finance team. This hybrid role also includes some limited credit control responsibilities, offering a great opportunity to gain wider finance experience within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Process a high volume of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
Match, batch and code invoices in accordance with company procedures
Manage the AP inbox and respond to supplier queries in a timely manner
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
Prepare and process payment runs
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable activity
Support the month-end closing process for AP

Credit Control Responsibilities:

Monitor outstanding customer debts and ensure timely collection of payments
Liaise with customers where needed to resolve payment issues and maintain strong customer relationships
Issue reminder letters, statements, and escalate overdue accounts as / if necessary

About You:

Previous experience in an accounts payable or credit control role
Strong organisational and communication skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (experience with Dynamics Nav or MS Business Central desirable)
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
