About the Role
We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented
Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk
to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for processing supplier invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate, timely payments in line with company policies and financial regulations.
You'll play a key part in maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting the smooth financial operations of the business. This is a
hybrid role
, with 2-3 days per week in the office and the remainder working from home.
Key Responsibilities
Invoice Processing:
Review, code, and process supplier invoices, matching with purchase orders and delivery notes.
Payments:
Assist in preparing payment runs, ensuring payments are accurate, approved, and on time.
Reconciliations:
Reconcile supplier statements and support month-end close activities.
Supplier Communication:
Act as first point of contact for invoice and payment queries, maintaining positive relationships.
Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate financial records for audit and compliance purposes.
Compliance:
Ensure all payments adhere to company policies, tax, and financial regulations.
Process Improvements:
Suggest and support initiatives to enhance AP efficiency and accuracy.
Collaboration:
Work closely with procurement and finance teams to resolve discrepancies.

Previous experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance role
Familiarity with integrated financial systems (AP, AR, GL, Payroll)
Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel)
Exposure to automation tools (e.g., RPA bots) is advantageous
