Job Description

We are recruiting for a Accounts Payable Manager. As part of the Central Finance Accounts team the AP Manager will oversee the Accounts Payable UK (APUK) team in processing invoices and expenses for UK and other regions within the company.

The role




You'll have a really strong focus on providing excellent customer service to our stakeholders. You will promote the visibility and availability of the team in providing necessary assistance to the business. You will develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the team is delivering an excellent service.


You will handle recruitment within the APUK team and ensure adequate resource is in place to provide a high level of service to stakeholders


You will actively develop the team and provide pastoral support


Alongside the AP Technical Supervisor you will oversee the Supplier onboarding process and the weekly payment runs to both suppliers and employees. You will also ensure both supplier account reconciliations and ledger reconciliations are completed and reviewed on a monthly basis.

APUK team will be skilled, engaged, and motivated to achieve deadlines and provide an excellent level of service Resourcing will be at an adequate level to deliver excellent service to the business The APUK team will be viewed by the stakeholders within the business as a centre of excellence who provide essential efficient support with a friendly, approachable and accessible profile.

Responsibilities



Focus on Stakeholder relations including providing workshops, responses to queries and actively promote the APUK team to the wider business Team training & Development ensuring AP team are trained in AP processes and have the adequate technical & software skills etc Manage APUK shared mailbox ensuring urgent & critical emails are dealt with effectively and promptly Alongside the AP Technical Supervisor, control the Supplier Onboarding Process and payment processes ensuring that all due diligence is carried out and any potential risks are minimised PO Management Corporate credit card management Provide cover for the AP Technical supervisor Any other tasks required to support the AP team, Finance team and Buro Happold as a whole

Qualifications



AAT or equivalent

Experience



5 years + of Accounts Payable processes (preferably gained in multiple companies) 3 years + of managing a transactional team Working with an ERP, preferably Unit 4/Agresso Proficient in Microsoft software, particularly Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint
