Hamilton Jones are delighted to be partnering with a fast-paced, ambitious business in their search for a new Accounts Payable Specialist. We're looking for an experienced person to take full ownership of our AP function. If you enjoy the end-to-end AP process, take pride in tidy ledgers, and like being the go-to person for all things Accounts Payable - while still happy to help with wider finance tasks in a small team - this could be a great fit.

Duties

Managing the invoices email inbox Processing invoices using 'scan & capture' software Handling supplier queries Keeping the AP ledger clean, accurate, and up to date Ensuring correct GL and VAT coding Managing invoice approvals Preparing payment runs and ad-hoc payments Completing supplier statement reconciliations where required Preparing monthly accruals for outstanding invoices Assisting with staff expense claim processing Completing relevant balance sheet reconciliations Supporting the finance team with general ad-hoc tasks

Requirements

Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role, ideally across different company environments Confident Excel user A self-starter who can manage their own workload and isn't afraid to ask for guidance when needed Someone flexible and open-minded about the role shape as the team evolves Office presence required (no formal WFH policy, but ad-hoc days at home are usually fine)

Working Arrangements

Candidates seeking full-time or reduced hours (70-80%), will be considered, can consider school hours Office-based (ad-hoc flexibility where required)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 28,000.00-31,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
