We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will lead and support a team responsible for the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely, accurate payments and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Lead and manage the end to end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices in accordance with company policies.
Supervise and support a team of AP specialists, providing coaching, performance management, and development to ensure delivery against KPIs and service level expectations.
Act as a point of escalation for complex AP queries and discrepancies, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, serving as one of the primary contacts for AP-related queries and ensuring excellent supplier experience.
Identify, propose, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control within the AP function.
Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Deliver regular reporting and analysis of AP metrics and insights to senior leadership, supporting data-driven decision-making.
Provide operational support to the Head of Accounts Payable on strategic initiatives and day-to-day activities.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
Proven track record of managing multiple priorities and delivering results in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP and accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Navision).
Experience driving process improvements and leading change initiatives within finance operations.
