Job Description

We are a growing accountancy practice based in Elsworth, Cambridgeshire, looking for an experienced and reliable professional to support our expanding team and client base.

The ideal candidate has at least two years experience of working in a UK accountancy practice and some practical experience in accounting record management, the preparation of management accounts, financial statements and tax compliance.

Job Role:

The role involves supporting small to medium sized businesses, often owner managed across a variety of business sectors, with a range of accounting, financial performance and taxation services.

Key responsibilities will include:

Accounting records management and reviews Preparation of regular control account reconcilaitions Monthly management accounts preparation Preparation of financial statements Preparation of corporation tax returns and supporting computations Preparation of personal tax returns and supporting computations VAT return preparation and filing Regular, appropriate communication with clients through conversations, emails, letters and face to face meetings Payroll processing Supporting clients through accounting software change Regular software and process reviews Supporting financial reviews, budgeting and forecasting

Required Skills / Knowledge:

Exceptional double entry and accounting policy understanding Good understanding of financial statements, corporation and personal taxation Competent user of accounting software Excellent Communication skills Analytical and problem solving skills This role calls for a confident and logical individual, comfortable working to deadlines and producing work to a high standard Payroll experience A team player Self-motivated with a desire to develop AAT Qualified / ACCA or ACA Part Qualified / Qualified by experience
