Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented accounts technician to become an integral part of our accounts department. The ideal candidate will maintain our financial records and ensure compliance with Law Society regulations. You will be supported in the role by our legal book keeper and by an Accounts Administrator.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing and maintaining financial records, including general ledger accounts and financial statements
Reviewing financial documents and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance
Performing financial analysis, budgets and reporting to support business decisions
Preparing and reviewing annual/quarterly forecasts and financial reports
Developing and implementing economic policies and procedures in the company
Providing timely financial information to support decision-making processes
Contributing to the overall financial health and stability of the organisation
Prepare and present statements, such as balance sheets, income and cash flow.
Perform monthly and annual financial closing activities.
Chase company debt and identify bad debt.
Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement and provide insights to management for decision-making.
Ensure that the organisation complies with all financial regulations, including tax laws, accounting standards and reporting requirements.
Calculating bonus payments.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounts and pending Professional Certification as minimum requirement
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. Applicants who have worked in a law firm previously or have experience in Solicitor Audit would be particularly suitable for the role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of operational management software and tools
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
