To assist the General Manager and Treasurer in the administration of the club, its premises, and its finances
You occasionally may be required to support other functions within the golf club and associated organisations.
It is anticipated that the role will be part-time with a minimum of two days (16 hours) but at busy times of year this may increase.
Main responsibilities
Administration and Finance
Assist in the management of the provision of office services.
Dealing with post and telephone calls
Keep database of members and other contacts up to date including membership renewals and changes
Control all cash receipts, payments, and banking arrangements
Maintain accounting software including bills & invoices and appropriate journals.
Create payment schedules for approval using third party software.
Liaise with the General manager, Facilities Manager, Chairman and Treasurer to ensure accounting information is up to date, including bar receipts, credit card receipts and other income and supplying end of period reports.
Enter relevant information into the accounting system
Manage the payroll system (SAGE) using software time recording system and/or timesheets as appropriate.
Assist in the management of the club's membership database including member categories, member billing and balancing of EPOS system.
Other matters
Potential requirement to cover for General manager in their absence which may mean additional hours.

Personal skills Essential
IT skills including knowledge and use of Microsoft Office including in particular Word and Excel.
Payroll and payroll software experience.
Accounting software experience
Good book-keeping skills, including work to trial balance, balancing of control accounts and bank reconciliations and journals.
A thorough understanding of double entry book-keeping

Dynamic and self-motivated approach to work
Sage payroll & Xero accounting
Privacy and discretion are key requisites of the post as the club needs to ensure Data Protection rules are followed and members' private information is not disclosed to unauthorised parties.
