We are a family run transport business looking to employ an experienced accounts/wages/general administration clerk. This role includes day to to day running of the companies accounts, raising invoices, banking, all aspect of payroll (SAGE 50 payroll experience essential), PAYE, Preparing VAT returns, credit control, preparing accounts every 3-6 months for our accountants.
General administration involves ordering stationery, uniform, answering phones, bill paying, keeping the office clean and tidy, vehicle administration, answering other employees queries.
Candidate must be able to multi-task and work under own initiative. Accounting/book keeping experience essential, previous transport experience and health and safety knowledge would be a bonus. We have around 20 employees and you will be working in a small team where common sense and a sense of humour in a high pressure environment is essential!
Hours: Flexible for the right candidate, but around 9:30-3:30pm Monday to Friday with 30 minutes lunch. Holidays are 20 days plus 8 days bank holidays.
Looking for someone to start as soon as possible, with interviews commencing Friday 16th May.
