Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accredited Checking Technician to join our team in Dalkeith Pharmacy. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medication to our patients. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support the overall operations of the pharmacy.

Duties

As an Accredited Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately. Checking pre screened prescriptions and dossette boxes. Providing excellent patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage. Managing inventory, including ordering, restocking, and ensuring proper storage of medications. Maintaining accurate patient records and medication profiles. Supporting the administration of medication under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies. Participating in continuous professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is essential Be registered with the GPhC. Strong understanding of medication administration and patient care principles. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.

Hours

Ideally looking for someone 3 full days a week or 20-24 hours spread over the week. This would be negotiable for the correct candidate.
