Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispensing Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations by assisting with the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety. This position is ideal for individuals with pharmacy technician experience who are passionate about providing excellent service to patients.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications accurately and efficiently. Ensure that all medication is labelled correctly and meets regulatory standards. Conduct medication administration under the supervision of a qualified pharmacist. Maintain accurate patient records and assist in managing inventory levels of medications and supplies. Provide exceptional patient care by addressing queries and offering guidance on medication usage. Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the dispensing area to ensure a safe working environment. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in pharmacy practices.

Requirements

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is highly desirable. Knowledge of medication administration processes and patient care principles. Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and healthcare professionals effectively. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all aspects of work.
