About Us


Brompton Hall School is based within private grounds in the pretty village of Brompton-by-Sawdon and is a Special Education School for pupils aged between 8 and 16 years, who have an Education, Health and Care Plan.

Our Opportunity


This role is a varied one, based both within and outside of the classroom. You will be required to use your initiative, and work with small groups, as well as at times within the full class. Working under the instructions and guidance of teaching staff within and outside the classroom. You will use your skills to enhance the learning opportunities of the children within our school.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Achievement Support Assistant to join our team and support the delivery of activities within Brompton Hall School. This vital role involves working closely with pupils who face a range of needs and barriers to learning, helping to create a positive and inclusive environment where all children can thrive.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about engaging young learners, offering support tailored to their individual needs, and delivering creative and impactful activities. If you are a motivated individual with a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of children and are excited by the opportunity to work in a dynamic, nurturing setting, we would love to hear from you.

You will be highly organised, with the ability to:


Be able to build strong relationships with children Motivate and develop the children in your care Be passionate about seeing young people succeed

Essential Qualifications & Experience


GCSE English and maths Grade A-C (or equivalent - eg Certificate in Adult Literacy / Numeracy Level 2) Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification is not essential but may be preferred
