The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acrobatic gymnastics, a passion for developing gymnasts, and the ability to create a safe, positive, and challenging training environment. You will be responsible for planning and delivering skill-appropriate training sessions, preparing gymnasts for competitions, and fostering teamwork and discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement acro gymnastics training programs tailored to different skill levels (beginner to advanced).
Teach partner balance and dynamic skills, individual elements, and choreography for routines.
Instruct proper technique, safety, flexibility, and conditioning.
Monitor gymnasts' progress and provide constructive feedback.
Prepare gymnasts for local, regional, and national competitions, including routine construction and performance preparation.
Ensure the safety of all gymnasts and enforce proper spotting and equipment usage.
Communicate with parents, gymnasts, and staff professionally and positively.
Maintain a clean, safe, and inclusive gym environment.
Attend team meetings, staff training, and continuing education sessions as required.
Qualifications:
Proven experience coaching acro gymnastics (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
Background as a former acro gymnast or in a related gymnastics discipline is an asset.
Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire gymnasts.
Patience, adaptability, and a positive coaching attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
Acro or Gymnastics Coaching Certification.
Experience coaching competitive-level gymnasts.
Choreography or dance background.
Experience working with youth of various ages.
