Job Title: ACRO IT Systems Administrator - HC611052

Location: Near Fareham

Salary: PO2, \xc2\xa337,953 - \xc2\xa341,139 per annum (pay award pending)

Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday with flexible office hours)

Contract: Permanent

Closing Date: Wednesday 30th August 2023 at 23.59 hours

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us as an IT Systems Administrator, working within a national policing unit working to ensure safer communities in the UK and around the world.

About the role

This role will be based within the ACRO Continuous Improvement Team, and will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the organisation\xe2\x80\x99s strategic vision, values and objectives in respect of facilitating System Development and Improvement in ACRO Portfolios. This will be through the implementation, maintenance and provision of new and existing database services, and the management of ACRO Systems Development Advisors.

You will also be the liaison between the end-users and the suppliers regarding new applications, faults and changes to existing IT applications along with the development, maintenance and monitoring of the ACRO website and intranet. You will also manage the relevant ITIL service components, specifically; sign off, service transition and continual service improvement.

Essential Qualifications

Educated to OR have the relevant comparable technical experience:-

BCS membership

IT Testing qualification

Prince 2 Project Management Foundation (or equivalent recognised Project Management qualification)

Essential Experience

Proven experience in a relevant environment. This should have included experience of use of application software, an understanding of database technologies and compilation and use of test scripts.
