We design and manufacture acrylic display solutions for collectibles, all in-house from our Luton based warehouse. We're a family run business, who started in 2006 supplying retail displays. In 2017, we shifted our expertise to display cases primarily for LEGO sets. We're a growing business that continues to innovate in all areas.
What We Need
This full-time position in our small (but busy) production department will play a very important role in achieving our operational goals. Your main objectives will involve operating multiple laser machines simultaneously and being self-sufficient in working on other tasks while waiting for the cuts to finish.
We are looking for a technically minded person who is skilled at multi-tasking. You will also need to be highly organised and able to maintain quality and safety standards, keeping up-to-date with machine maintenance and ordering of supplies for your department. On the job training will be provided for the right candidate.
Our products are sent all over the world and due to their fragility, care must be taken when working with them. It is also important to be able to work well with your team and be able to get on with your own work as well. We appreciate a positive attitude and willingness to help.
Key Tasks:
Understand work orders, materials, parts and specifications.
Operation of multiple laser cutter machines and other tools as required.
Gather the correct materials, according to the requirements.
Efficiently manage your time to complete tasks with both accuracy and speed.
Keep production statuses updated using computer-based software.
Inspect finished components; parts are to be quality-checked and labelled correctly.
Conduct regular machine inspections and establish a routine cleaning schedule to maintain the equipment's functionality and longevity.
Unloading of regular heavy goods deliveries.
Communicate any issues or discrepancies with parts or processes to the relevant team members for resolution.
Conduct regular stock checks and notify the manager when supplies are low.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements:
