Overview

We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our growing family business. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fabrication and mechanical knowledge, with experience in operating laser cutting machines. This role is unique in a newly built but growing workshop in a friendly hard working team producing high quality stainless steel equipment for the dairy industry.

Responsibilities

Operate fibre laser cutting machine to produce high-quality components all from stainless steel. Reload fibre laser with stainless sheets using vacuum suction lifting Jib. occasionally be required to perform fabrication tasks including grinding, welding, and assembly as required. Folding parts at times also required alongside occasional general warehouse work. Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain a safe working environment. Apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations during the manufacturing process.

Requirements

Experience with operating CNC laser regularly is essential. Experience in fabrication, welding, or related fields is desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Familiarity with sheet metal work and associated processes. Competence in using hand tools and tooling for various tasks. Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
