Role: Applications Engineer

Location: Actemium Automation Nottingham - Office (Ilkeston) & Home based

Hours: Full-Time, 37.5hrs per week, Flexible Hours

Salary Range: 50,000 to 60,000 (depending on experience)

About the role

As a Tendering Engineer at AA Nottingham, you will play a crucial role in our project lifecycle. A customer focused role, you will be assisting the business in creating new tenders, direct sourcing and working collaboratively with the Project Managers.

Main Responsibilities

Client communication: Engage with clients during the tender process, addressing queries and ensuring clarity. Cost estimation: Analyze project requirements, evaluate costs, and provide detailed estimates. Technical understanding: Understand client specifications and translate them into effective technical proposals. Risk assessment: Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies. Preparing and submitting tenders: Collaborate with our sales and engineering teams to create competitive and accurate tender proposals.

The Person

Engineering background: degree in Electrical or related field Proven experience in tendering, preferably in automation however open to other engineering projects Understanding of Automation in particular, Allen Bradley and Siemens industrial Control Systems Attention to detail: ability to analysis complex requirements s and create precise proposals Good communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness to take on new skills & knowledge
