Graduate Quantity Surveyor Role - Develop Your Career in Infrastructure Projects
Assist with the preparation of accurate cost estimates and budgets for Mechanical and Electrical projects.
Support in the analysis of tender documents, project drawings, and specifications to determine project scope and requirements.
Help maintain and update rate cards in line with market trends and company pricing strategies.
Contribute to the drafting of client offer letters and tender submissions.
Collaborate with internal departments (design, procurement, delivery) to compile essential data for commercial activities.
Review supplier and subcontractor quotations to verify value and compliance.
Provide commercial support during post-tender negotiations and project handovers.
Assist in tracking and analysing historical cost data for continuous improvement of future bids.
Implement Quantity Surveying principles to enhance commercial accuracy and minimise financial risk.
Required Skills and Qualifications - Entry-Level Quantity Surveying Careers
Recently completed or soon to complete a Quantity Surveying degree or a related qualification (e.g., RICS, HNC/HND considered).
Keen interest in the utilities, construction, mechanical and electrical sectors.
Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
IT literacy, especially with Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software is advantageous but not essential.
Willingness to learn and develop within a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Understanding, or an interest in developing knowledge, of UK electricity regulations and contract frameworks (such as NEC or JCT).
